In today's digital age, the rise of AI, social media marketing, and digital selling has transformed how we access health information. With tools like Google AI and ChatGPT, obtaining medical information is easier than ever. AI-based medical software is making strides in providing accurate medical guidelines, interpreting blood reports, and reading diagnostic images, potentially reducing the demand for traditional clinical exams.
While AI can enhance healthcare accessibility and reduce costs, it cannot replace the human touch that doctors provide. The demand will shift towards physicians who excel in building human connections, understanding individualized patient needs, and facilitating health transformation rather than merely managing diseases with guideline-based information.
Our current medical system excels in treating acute diseases but falls short in addressing chronic conditions. The focus has traditionally been on the physical body, neglecting the deeper connections to energy, mind, memory, and emotions that play a vital role in chronic diseases. AI amplifies this body-based approach, which is effective for managing symptoms but lacks the ability to emotionally connect with patients or motivate health transformation.
Through my journey, I realized that the roots of multiple chronic illnesses were connected to microbiome imbalance, or dysbiosis. The microbiome isn't just limited to the gut but spans the entire body, forming the largest invisible organ that connects every body part for smooth functioning. It is strongly influenced by human energy and emotions, providing the scientific basis for the mind-body connection. This suggests that most chronic illnesses are deeply connected to our thoughts and emotions.
This gap presents an opportunity for physicians to expand their humanistic skills. As a health coach, addressing these deeper roots through human connection not only fosters the doctor-patient relationship but can also facilitate healing of chronic ailments through microbiome balance. This approach has transformed my own health issues, leading me to become a physician health coach.
Patients seek to feel energetic, healthy, and vibrant, not just to manage their health numbers with pills—something AI cannot achieve. By integrating the science of the human microbiome with human energy, mind, and emotions, physicians can understand the mind-body connection, offering a more comprehensive treatment.
I founded a program called "Healing Microbiome," which fosters healing naturally through microbiome balance without relying on pills or supplements. This transformative approach not only impacts lives through knowledge, connection, and transformation but also provides a rewarding and impactful way to practice healthcare.
In an era where technology is rapidly advancing, the role of a physician health coach offers a unique blend of medical knowledge and human empathy. This career path not only addresses the limitations of traditional medicine but also provides a fulfilling and transformative approach to healthcare.
